For Lynne Guenther's wedding on Feb. 4, 2012...

A little pricey, but if you contact less expensive string groups, you'll find they do not offer near as many contemporary options.  When they do, they charge you extra for arranging them.  After added fees, other (string) vendors were more expensive.  The price listed is the price you pay, no additional costs.  That was great, and so is the song selection!  I loved the options we had with Serenata Strings.  Also, they were very kind to perform outdoors in February!  Very professional and talented group!

I had their string quartet play at my wedding ceremony.  They played quite lovely and made a dream come true for me!  I knew I had to have the strings at my wedding!  They even played a piece not in their repertoire, free of charge!!  They were fabulous!!

Serenata Strings provided a string quartet for both the ceremony and cocktail hour during the reception. They were very easy to work with, have an extensive library of pieces, a great Web site allowing you to listen to many selections featuring different instruments, and sent a demo CD with the contract information. They are very flexible and can play many contemporary pieces as well as classical. They were prompt, prepared and the only thing they required were chairs. I had wanted a string quartet for my daughter's wedding for a long time and they fit the bill. I would definitely recommend them.

Used Serenata Strings for our ceremony musician and was very impressed. They were recommended by our ceremony site, the Dallas Arboretum. We had originally booked a guitarist who bailed at the last minute and we were so worried we weren't going to be able to find a musician that would work. Serenata Strings' portfolio was huge and they play everything from contemporary and traditional wedding music. Karen was very helpful and was responsive to emails and voicemails. During our ceremony, my mother in law wanted to hear a particular song. Unfortunately it was not a song they knew but about a week later we received a letter form them with a CD of the song for us to listen and keep. That was such a kind and thoughtful gesture from them that sets them apart from other ceremony musicians. They are priced competitively and really delivered what was promised. If you are looking for a string musician (we chose a trio) for your ceremony please consider Serenata Strings! Thanks again! The ceremony (provided by violin, guitar and cello) was absolutely beautiful.

My sister's daughter was married two years ago and used a high school quartet, and had such a bad experience with that. Your musicians looked so nice and classy and played all the songs right on cue. And with a Catholic service and other musicians playing at other parts of the mass, that is a somewhat difficult task! The Ave Maria was so majestic, and of course my favorite Canon in D brought chills to me. The Unchained Melody made me weep, and everyone of course loved the Halelujah from Shrek! We were so pleased and the music brought so many people to tears. It was so beautiful, and I will highly recommend you to others.

This group of musicians was a beautiful part of the wedding ceremony. They arrived on time, and set up in an unobtrusive manner. The musical background for guests arriving was lovely, and the volume and tempo appropriate for the church.
The music performed for the processionals was perfect, and I loved being able to notice and identify the selection used for the time when I was seated. The bridesmaids' processional was lovely, and the music tempo was correct.
I would feel good about giving a recommendation based on our experience with them. Karen and her friends were a lovely part of the wedding.
